Put Your Dreams to the Test
By John C. Maxwell
My rating: 3 1/2 cupcakes
John C. Maxwell helps people answer 10 questions to help them fulfill their God-given dreams. The ten questions involve: ownership, clarity, reality, passion, pathway, people, cost, tenacity, fulfillment, and significance. The points he make are valid and extremely motivational. With a dream of becoming a published writer one day, this book helped me see the steps I need to take to make that dream come true. I liked the stories that were included: stories about how other famous people saw their dreams come true. I couldn't give it 5 stars though, as I did find it a little boring in parts and felt there were waaaay too many quotes. Overall, a great read I would recommend to others.
Summary taken from booksneeze.com: Most people John Maxwell encounters have a dream. In fact, he’s asked thousands about their greatest aspirations. Some describe their dream with great enthusiasm and detail. Others are reluctant, almost embarrassed, to talk about it. Regardless of their zeal or fear, the same question drives every person with a dream: Can I achieve it?Sadly, most people have no idea how viable their dream is. They hope to achieve it, yet hope is not a strategy. What people need is a way to test their dream. In Put Your Dream to the Test, Maxwell brings the subject of a personal dream down to earth. He gives readers practical and powerful direction for their lives by leading them through ten questions that will help them create a clear and compelling pathway to their dream.
